Hi there, let me introduce myself.
My name is Ryan Ribbink and I am passionate about surfing! I have been surfing for 25 years now and have had the honour of representing my province (KwaZulu Natal - Durban) in surfing on many occasions and have also obtained my national (South African) surfing colours. I have also won the South African masters and seniors surfing titles, this should show that my surfing abilities are way above average. Living in Durban has allowed me to have some of the most amazing surf trips up and down the coast over the past few years - traveling with friends to well known and isolated spots to experience those surfing memories, so that only the people that are there to share it, can reminisce about it for hours on end.
I have now taken that passion and experience one step further, and would like other surfers to also experience some of the awesome surfing moments that I have had. I offer surf trips throughout Southern Africa from Cape Town all the way up into deepest and most unspoilt parts of Mozambique. My knowledge of all these places is extensive, and this obviously helps in knowing what time of year and conditions best suits each particular area. In South Africa and Mozambique we have a wide variety of beach breaks, left and right peaks, and perfect point breaks, mostly rights but also with the odd left point break here and there, so there are lots of different types of waves to surf.

My Name is Anthony Cox; I am a very proud South African, with a Love for the Ocean and an Insatiable desire to Surf and Travel.
Having grown up on the South Coast of KZN, I have spent a large portion of my life either on the Ocean or in it. My father has taken me deep Sea Fishing since the age of 4 and I started out with a boogey board at age 6, finally making the transition to Surfing at 13. Add to that a few sailing trips and a Scuba Diving Qualification.
At the age of 18 I started traveling, starting off in London, and making my way around Europe, I have surfed the whole East Coast of Australia as well as completed two Snowboarding Seasons in Canada.
After returning from Traveling to South Africa, I got into the Tourism Industry, and now own and run a successful Safari and Adventure company. So with my experience and love of the Ocean, I now find myself, not chasing my dream Job, but rather living it.

I have been working in the hospitality industry for the last 11 years. In 2000 I spent 1 year studying wildlife science (BSc) at the University of KZN before taking a job with Protea Hotels. Protea Hotels is one of the largest hotel chains in South Africa and I was incorporated into their in-house training course. I was a qualified lifeguard from 1996-2001. I completed my level 1 diploma from the ‘Field Guiding Association of Southern Africa’ (FGASA) in April 2007. I also obtained my level 1 ‘Track and sign recognition’ from Cyber tracker. I am also in possession of a valid PDP license for the transportation of passengers.
I grew up on the coast and spent many years visiting the bush. I have always been an avid sportsman on the land and in water. Excelling in most sports, water polo, swimming, lifesaving and rugby, but especially in hockey where I gained provincial colours and later my South African CD colours. My love of ocean and nature always made surfing my passion, with a deep respect and knowledge of the sea. My wildlife knowledge and knowledge of the S.A. coast line are second to none. This combined with my enormous ability as a host makes me a great guide to ensure you have a magnificent vacation and trip.
